More and more homeowners are getting the Halloween holiday spirit and will be spookifying their homes, inside and out. The National Retail Federation predicts that in 2018, total spending for Halloween is expected to reach $9 billion. Celebrants are planning to spend an average of $86.79 per capita, up from last year’s $86.13, with more than 175 million Americans planning to partake in Halloween festivities.

Decorating home exteriors is a big part of that spending number. Inflatable spiders and dragons, talking witches and smoldering corpses in scary front yard graveyards are creeping up on home fronts all over the Hudson Valley.
